What Is An AFP System?
Air filled pillows are large in comparison to conventional metal, plastic or glass cladding panels allowing nominal structure and a different architecture than conventional cladding requires.
Why Choose Air Filled Pillows
Conventional rectangular pillows can be very long, over 200’ (60m) with varied widths depending on environmental loadings. Pillows can be any shape, triangular through octagonal, and have been successfully used in complex freeform structures.
CUSTOM IN APPLICATION
Any layer can be printed for shading and a variety of prints and custom options exist, including reverse printed operable layers. Pillows are air filled under low pressure by dual chamber pumps and varied sensors and controls are available. Novum’s in-house software predicts potential prone areas and adjusts the geometric form to avoid any wrinkles.
FACTORY FINISHED
Membrane printing is available in standard colours and patterns, dots, reverse dots, rain effect or customised for full screen and logo requirements. ETFE raw material can be pigmented before extruding in multiple colours and opacities. Air supply systems can be enhanced with master control systems, wireless access points, SMS alerts, and other BMS needs. Bird deterrent systems, colour coated air feeds, and custom operable vents are also available.
ASSEMBLY
Fully integrated aluminium perimeter clamping and water channelling system with translucent flexible pipes at the pillow nozzle connect to the air feed system which is ABS, UV stable PVC pipe, or galvanised spiral pipe. Waterproof and acoustic baffled air supply units with dehumidifier and twin air blowers are available.
