About
This Work
Novum assisted in the development of a “glass box” for the upper level façade of 537 Hamilton Avenue in Palo Alto, CA. The scope was completed using structural glass supported by Novum’s Point Supported Glazing System which allowed for maximum transparency. A steel backup system was selected to support the glass wall, the glass roof and the exterior glass sunshade system. The solution for the sunshades consists of laminated glazing with a translucent interlayer that extends from the building by approximately 3’. The glass is underslung and supported with Novum’s Buttonhead Point Supports with a combination of Architecturally Exposed Steel and Tension Rod Systems.
