About
This Work
The Allam Diabetes Centre in East Riding, Yorkshire, is a state-of-the-art facility that provides care and support to individuals with diabetes. The purpose of the project was to create a building that not only served as a functional space for patients and staff but also made a statement with its design. The Novum-engineered Architecturally Exposed Steel System and Edge Clamped Glass System were integral to achieving this goal.
The final outcome of the project was a stunning glazed roof spanning approximately 21.139m x 8.227m and an external entrance façade spanning approximately 7.463m x 4.754m that made a statement while also serving a functional purpose. The natural light that enters the building through the Edge Clamped Glass System creates a welcoming and calming atmosphere for patients and staff.
