Chester Racecourse: ETFE Canopy Pods

Chester, England

About

This Work

Novum was pleased to support Chester Racecourse and DGA Architects in their endeavour to create additional shelter for patrons of the racecourse. Novum engineered and installed 14 mild steel pod structures using Stressed Skin ETFE cladding and perimeter flashings. 6 of the pods are larger and taller, measuring 7.2m in diameter, compared to the smaller 8 that measure approximately 6m in diameter, creating a forest canopy effect.
