About

This Work

The beautifully transparent wall is supported by horizontal trusses and point supported structural glass spans between them. The diameter of the truss supports is minimised by the use of thin stainless steel suspension rods which absorb the dead load. For the vestibule, the client originally wanted an integrated glass gutter, but Novum advised that a glass gutter would expose dirt over time and detract from the entrance. An aluminium gutter hidden behind translucent glass was then proposed and accepted.
