About

This Work

Incredible double curved glass wall designed to enhance the viewing area of the airport runways. The huge wall, one of the largest of its kind ever built in the United States, consists of five 55′ x 70′ bays. The double curved, “saddle” surface is created by a 3/4″ diameter cable net with tension elements running both vertically and horizontally. The system is glazed using 4′ x 8′ insulated glass panels that are point fixed to the support cables.
