About
This Work
A family of small, but well conceived skylights puncture the roof of a new university in Kimberly. The skylight glass has photo images of trees printed on the inner layer of the laminated glass creating a forest-like experience indoors, whereas the outside environment is quite arid. Novum used point supported glass with small steel brackets attached to the concrete rim. The glass is sealed with a compression gasket to avoid complex and expensive detailing.
