The Methodist Hospital Research Institute: Entrance Canopy + Vestibule

Houston, Texas, USA

About

This Work

The institute welcomes visitors with a striking, asymmetrical, trapezoid-shaped entrance canopy. Overhead, channels within the painted steel I-beams accommodate an integrated lighting system which illuminates the entrance at night. Beneath the canopy, a modern cube-shaped entry vestibule with two sets of glass double doors completes the contemporary entrance to this world-renowned research facility.
