Linear Supported Glass

Designed to function on planar and freeform surfaces, as well as all inclinations from vertical to horizontal.

What Is A LSG System?

This system is typically used where a demand for close coupled glass to structure occurs or when code or client requires a secondary backup to the silicone glass joint. An elegant continuous support is achieved.

Why Choose Linear Supported Glass

Great transparency as the contemporary skin system is more directly integrated to the primary structure, thereby decreasing layering effects.

CUSTOM IN APPLICATION

The system consists of aluminum and silicone profiles with stainless steel fasteners mechanically connecting the profiles to substructure. The profiles can be slightly elevated from, or flush to the supporting structure. The elevated method reduces the need for tight structural tolerances on the steel, simplifies angle changes at connections, and improves air flow to reduce condensation traps. Hence, functionally better and easier to maintain.

FACTORY FINISHED

Glass can be monolithic, laminated, or insulated in varied thicknesses. Many glass coatings and frit patterns are available and the standard silicone gasket is black with dark gray as an option. Cap plates are powder coated aluminum as a standard, but options include stainless steel with varied brushed finishes.

ASSEMBLY

Glass panels are designed using finite element analysis for maximum safety. Large panel sizes and loads can be accommodated by increasing the number of toggle fasteners. This system is well suited to minor angular changes in surface planes and integrated fully with most Novum Structural Systems.
