What is an Maintenance & Inspection?
At Novum Structures, we offer meticulous and preventative building inspections to identify any minor issues before they escalate and potentially impact the entire building system. We inspect and maintain the exterior of a building including specialty elements such as facades, canopies, atriums, skylights, and curtainwalls.
Our inspections involve checking sealants and gaskets, adjusting cables and rods to maintain the correct torque, and reviewing CCF and environmental control units. We also assess and repair operable vents, making any necessary adjustments and applying lubrication, along with inspecting ETFE pillows. Small cracks that may not be visible from the street are addressed, and any minor issues identified will be swiftly repaired. Leaks are included in our inspection process as well. We document significant findings and offer proposals for any major repairs required. Our site managers submit daily foreman reports that include before-and-after photo documentation, and we provide a detailed report upon completion of the inspection.
At Novum Structures, we take care of all your maintenance requirements, which encompass reglazing, delamination, expansion joints, sealant and gasket repairs, as well as addressing leaks. Our services range from routine maintenance to more complex building repairs and modifications. This includes the installation of new ventilation systems, managing intricate operable vents in residential towers, adjusting ETFE in response to barometric conditions, reglazing glass, and removing and replacing fabricated metal panels. We also maintain closed cavity façades (CCF) and environmental control units.
