About
This Work
The client increased the lobby floor space of this downtown Chicago office building by adding a minimalistic glass box over the existing plaza to surround a large steel sculpture. To achieve ultimate transparency, Novum engineered custom glazing arms to cantilever 2.5 ft. from the steel column centers to reduce the horizontal span between point supports of oversized glass panels from 15 ft. to 10 ft. The impressive 15 ft. wide by 8 ft. tall glass panels attach using just four countersunk rotational bolts.
