ARIA Resort & Casino

The Aria Resort & Casino is a centerpiece of the CityCenter project in Las Vegas. Novum worked very closely with the architect on several scopes which incorporate multiple Novum Systems. The grand entry features a huge 45m (150 ft.) cantilevered suspended point supported glass canopy. The low iron glass is supported by a mix of painted mild and stainless steel secondary components using the AES and TR Systems. The Harmon entry features a fully integrated Novum point supported glass canopy which also braces a suspended machined steel fin wall with custom edge clamp glazing. The fins suspend on stainless TR-System rods. The wall is braced laterally from the canopy columns and intricate plate details splice the elegant fins. One of the four major features Novum built on this prestigious property is the large check-in zone featuring Novum edge and corner clamped glazing on slender profiles for both the wall and ceiling. The TR-System is used to brace the roof and to suspend the wall from wood clad primary steel structure. The tilted wall has floating corners which transition using point supported glazing. Four water features have cast glass panels which are braced by Novum’s TC-System stainless cables. Careful detailing prevents chlorinated water on the cable ends. Water is trickled down the front of the backlit panels to create the feel of a floating water fall. This is one of multiple Novum scopes on the hotel, while each is unique design is visually connected by using system products from the same organization.
