About
This Work
At approximately 1,900 square feet, a stunning free form edge-clamped glass and architecturally exposed steel canopy graces the entrance to the Chase Tower Building in Dallas, Texas. The upper canopy is crescent-shaped in plan, measuring approximately 102’-6” wide by 20’-0” deep. The lower canopy is fan-shaped in plan, measuring approximately 13’-6” wide by 6’-9” deep. Structural support consists of wide flange columns supporting rectangular HSS beams. For the upper canopy, secondary steel part of Novum’s Free Form System supports the glass above. The final bay on either side of the canopy is clad with aluminum trellis blades instead of glass.
