Michael Chen

Supply Manager - China

Michael Chen is Supply Manager for Novum Structures China and responsible for procurement and quality control of local products to the entire Novum group. He manages a strong local team of sourcing, inspectors and quality assurance experts, ensuring on-time delivery of quality products to international standards.

Prior to joining Novum, Michael was Asia Senior Sourcing Manager for a large wholesale distribution company and responsible for structuring and implementing sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect material, as well as providing market data to two plants in China and six business units in Europe.

Michael received a Master in Business Administration from Shanghai Jiao tong University and a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Hefei University of Technology in China.

Danee’ E. Nieman

Director of Preconstruction Services - North America

Daneé E. Nieman is Director of Preconstruction Services for Novum Structures LLC and supervises a team of estimators and engineers. This group supports the sales team in reaching annual booking goals by providing customer-focused engineered solutions, project scoping, risk assessment and competitive and reliable pricing.

For North American, Daneé provides leadership, guidance, training, mentoring, controls and monitoring to the Estimating and Preconstruction Engineering staff to perform effective and consistent services to support the sales team.

Daneé holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She worked as an Intern with Novum Structures in 1987 and her first full-time position was in Project Engineering where she worked for 5 years. After a short time in estimating, Danee’ was elevated to Chief Estimator, and in 2018, promoted to her current position.

Tamas Katona

Director of Project Management and Field Services - North America

Tamas Katona is the Director of Project Management and Field Services for Novum Structures LLC. He is responsible for the oversight of project management and field operations throughout North America with an emphasis on client satisfaction via quality and on-time performance.

Tamas’ experience with specialty glazed structures spans over 15 years of working with some of the industry’s larger companies. Prior to joining Novum, Tamas was Vice President of Operations at one of North America’s leading building envelope contractors with employees situated in 28 offices throughout the US and Canada. During this time, Tamas was responsible for the development and successful growth of a unitized curtain wall business. His role included oversight and leadership of departments from business development, engineering and manufacturing; through project management and field operations. Tamas also brings several years of valuable experience on the general contracting side which he gained through time with Clark Construction Group and Hensel Phelps.

Chad Page

Project Director - UK

Chad Page is Project Director for Novum Structures UK. He is responsible for the project management, commercial and engineering departments from contract award, through design, procurement, manufacture and installation. Chad ensures that all projects are successfully completed on time with quality and is a key point of contact for Novum’s clients.  He has ensured performance on UK projects as the company has undergone significant growth.

Chad has over 32 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked on numerous prestigious projects.  Prior to joining Novum, Chad was Senior Surveyor at Bell Project Ltd., where he was responsible for all surveying duties on new-build and refurbishment projects.

Chad holds a BTEC National Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering and a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Building Studies. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, November 1998.

Ben Johnsen

Finance Director - Novum International

Ben Johnsen is Finance Director – Novum International and responsible for the company’s financial position in all Novum entities except North America and China. Ben’s role is to manage and monitor the financial health of these businesses and report the results both internally and externally.  This includes budgeting, commercial banking, foreign exchange, lines of credit, cash management, taxes and financial statements.

Ben has worked in various finance roles for the past 15 years in major private and public organizations. He joined Novum UK in January 2012 as Financial Controller for the UK. He increasingly became responsible for the financial management and reporting of European business units, and in 2018, was appointed Finance Director for Novum’s International entities. Ben’s role encompasses Finance and HR.

Ben is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in American & English History at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England and spent a year at the University of Richmond, Virginia.

Adam Rusch

Finance Director - North America

Adam Rusch is Finance Director – North America for Novum Structures LLC and responsible for the leadership and oversight of the NUS and NHT operations and management teams on financial matters. Adam is also responsible for the consolidation of Novum’s global financial statements and reporting requirements. He assumes the lead role for the company’s annual financial statement audit and tax filings.

Adam serves as a focal point for human resource management and the contracts department regarding insurance requirements, payroll service providers, 401k advisors and licensing.

Adam obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Adam is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

Thomas Pohl

General Manager - Commercial – Novum Membranes GmbH

Thomas Pohl is General Manager – Commercial for Novum Membranes GmbH and responsible for all finance and sales activities. His sales responsibilities include the development of customer relations, prospecting new market segments and providing support to other Novum entities as it relates to sales of membrane products. Thomas is also responsible for regulatory accounting, bank and procurement to ensure cash flow and commercial security.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a degree in Controlling from the Hochschule Nordhausen – University of Applied Sciences in Thuringia, Germany.

Mathias Noatzsch

General Manager - Technical - Novum Membranes GmbH

Mathias Noatzsch is General Manager – Technical of Novum Membranes GmbH. His role is multifaceted encompassing Engineering, Research & Development, Sales Support and the improvement of equipment, processes and plant efficiency at our advanced membrane production facility.

Mathias is a leading figure in the industry for the design of architectural ETFE. He developed proprietary form-finding patterning which analytically predicts wrinkle potential in ETFE membranes and adjusts the patterning to compensate. Mathias is currently working in the development of integrated PV cells, energy efficient systems and enhanced perimeter design.

Mathias earned a degree as a German Diplom-Ingenieur from the Technical University of Dresden and has spent his entire career in the technical aspects of the design, production and construction of architectural membranes of the highest quality.

Tom Churchyard

Sales Director - UK

Tom Churchyard is Sales Director and Co. Secretary for Novum Structures UK. He is responsible for the sales and business development activities of Novum System Products in the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe. Tom oversees the sales team, develops market strategies and client communication with support from pre-construction and estimating teams in the UK. His team oversees and manages all project enquiries, tenders and cost analyses. Importantly, the team recommends effective solutions determining functional needs, rational fabrication and buildability at all stages of design and development.

Prior to joining Novum in 2008, Tom was Construction Director of an internationally recognized ETFE and membrane installation company that worked globally on many prestigious projects. This company was acquired and then combined to become Novum Structures UK.

Terry Peterson

Vice President of Sales

Terry C. Peterson is the Vice President of Sales for Novum Structures LLC. He is responsible for bringing integrated glazed + membrane structure solutions to architects, general contractors and building owners across North America.

Prior to joining Novum, Terry served as Regional Manager for Weyerhauser selling wood roof systems to general contractors and owners. Before that, he served as Sales Engineer for Inryco Steel Products where he promoted and sold metal panels and curtain walls to architects and general contractors.

Terry has successfully managed a professional sales & estimating team at Novum for over 25 years. His team’s interpersonal consultation style places heavy emphasis on client satisfaction, resulting in consistent growth for the organization and significant repeat business. Terry’s successful implementation of a “designer assist” program has resulted in industry leading collaboration to meet client design and financial goals.

Terry earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a Master in Marketing from the University of San Francisco.

Soeren Stephan

Vice President of Engineering

Soeren Stephan is the Vice President of Engineering for Novum Structures LLC. He is responsible for managing the in-house global engineering and design teams which are in multiple locations. Soeren is also responsible for the development of Novum’s proprietary systems and components as well as corresponding design software.

Prior to joining Novum, Soeren served as Chief Design Engineer for NOELL GmbH in Wuerzburg, Germany. In 1997, Soeren joined MERO GmbH, Germany, as a technical director in the company’s construction system division. After a brief stint with the Waagner Biro AG steel & glass division in Vienna, Austria, Soeren joined the Novum team in May 2005.

Soeren holds a degree as a graduated engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) and a Master of Science from the Technical University St. Petersburg. Soeren has written extensively about the engineering behind complex steel and glass structures and has been published in a number of technical journals, most notably “Der Stahlbau.”

Alan Bridger

President + COO - Novum International

Alan Bridger is President + COO – Novum International with full commercial responsibility for Novum entities in the UK, Germany, Turkey, UAE, South Africa and India.

Alan began his career as an Airframe Systems Engineer at British Aerospace.  In 1990, he joined Pilkington Glass as an Engineer working on Planar Systems, and in 1995, became Pilkington’s Regional Head for non-European business.  In 1999, Alan moved to Singapore as the MD of Kalzip Asia where he transformed the business into the leading Aluminum Standing Seam company in Asia before moving to Hong Kong in 2010 to become the Regional Director for Tata Steel Asia. In 2015, Alan returned to Europe where he took up the role of Regional Market Director for Tata Steel Europe before joining Novum Structures as COO – Novum International in 2017.

Alan earned a honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business from Manchester University.

Travis Loften

CEO

Travis Loften is CEO for Novum Holdings LLC. Travis leads the strategic direction and oversight of the diverse Novum group and is engaged in establishing sustainable market growth in our global regions. He is responsible for executive management of the company’s total performance.

Travis is also responsible for the financial and regulatory oversight of Novum’s domestic and international entities. These responsibilities include budgeting, banking, foreign exchange operations, insurance, taxes, capital expenditures and financial statements. Travis provides the overall executive direction for Sales, Project Management, Field Services, Production, Quality and Administration.

Prior to his role as CEO, Travis served as President & COO of Novum North America and Vice President of Global Finance & US Operations for six years. Travis is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
