Harris Technology Center

Novum engineered and built this technical façade for Harris Technology Center in Palm Bay, Florida. Using impact resistant glazing and stainless steel tension trusses with an added compression stem, Novum created a unique façade that is hurricane resistant and imposes minimal forces on the building structure. Designed to withstand a hurricane, the NOA-rated glass system consists of point supported glass attached to the tension trusses using stainless steel rotules. The glass is fully tempered and laminated with an ionoplast interlayer. The NOA approved design was a major accomplishment by both the engineering and architectural teams.
